RJ Voorhees

College Pastor

RJ is originally from Glen St. Mary, FL. He is a graduate of Florida State University and Beeson Divinity School (at Samford University). He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Ministry through New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. RJ came on staff at FBC Tuscaloosa as College Pastor in 2016. RJ is married to Casey and they have four children - Emmy, Everett, Knox, and Lily.

Kate Williams

Associate College Minister

Katelyn is from Hattiesburg, MS and graduated from  William Carey University in 2020 with a B.A. in Christian Ministries and a minor in Graphic Design. She and her husband Chael Williams are excited to be a part of the ministry here at FBC Tuscaloosa. We were thrilled to welcome Kate to our college staff team in April 2021! 

Nathan Verghese

Associate College Minister

Nathan graduated from the University of Alabama in 2020 with a B.S. in Psychology . In August 2020 he began pursuing a Master of Divinity from Beeson Divinity School. During his years as a student at Alabama, Nathan was involved on our college student leadership team and also served on staff with our student ministry at FBCT.  After serving for 2 years in our Fellowship program, Nathan will join our staff as an Associate minster in June 2022. We are excited to continue serving with Nathan this year!

Nathan Verghese

College Ministry Fellow

Nathan graduated from the University of Alabama in 2020 with a B.S. in Psychology . In August 2020 he began pursuing a Master of Divinity from Beeson Divinity School. During his years as a student at Alabama, Nathan was involved on our college student leadership team and also served on staff with our student ministry at FBCT.  We are so excited  Nathan has joined our college ministry staff team as a fellow again this year!

Jason Daniels

College Ministry Fellow

Jason graduated from University of Alabama with a B.A. in History and Philosophy. He has been a faithful leader in the ministry at First College and has served as a Freshman Family Group leader for multiple year. We are so excited for Jason to serve as a college ministry fellow for the 2021-2022 academic year!
